Sedates liver fire and calms endogenous liver wind. Use to reduce symptoms associated with hypertension due to liver fire, including dizziness, ear ringing, headache, and flushed face. (May need to be combined with a blood or yin tonic). Effective in lowering blood cholesterol and supressing the hardening of the arteries.
